Deloitte Private's Best Managed Companies business mentoring program was launched in Hungary in 2022 with the aim of providing professional support to privately owned companies in the country and recognizing outstanding performance. Based on this year's decision by an independent jury, 26 companies have been awarded the Best Managed Companies certification, the consulting firm told MTI on Friday.
According to their information, performance is assessed according to an international framework based on four pillars: strategy, innovation, culture and commitment, and governance and finance.
Typically, the certification is awarded to well-managed, privately owned medium-sized and large companies with a mature strategy, efficient operations, a people-centered culture, and a solid, stable management and financial system.
Each year, the program recognizes companies based on the decision of an independent professional jury. This year, leaders from the National Bank of Hungary, the Budapest Stock Exchange, Confederation of Hungarian Employers and Industrialists (MGYOSZ), OTP Bank, and the Budapest University of Economics participated in the evaluation.
In the first year, ten companies received the certification, followed by 16 in 2023, 21 in 2024, and 26 this year.
The Best Managed Companies mentoring program gives companies the opportunity to analyze and develop their strategy, management, financial model, and corporate culture with the help of external experts.
Launched by Deloitte more than 30 years ago, the Best Managed Companies program is now present in 48 countries and is considered one of the world's leading business mentoring programs.
