The Nagykanizsa chess club Aquaprofit from SE Hungary, the defending champion in the Chess Superleague team championship, has taken a major step towards another major milestone by signing a three-year naming sponsorship contract with the Finland-based software giant TUXERA, an IT storage and networking company.
At the signing of the contract, the parties stressed their determination to continue the rich tradition of chess in Kanizsa, while also further supporting local talent development by creating an even more secure background.
“After practically three decades of playing in the top league and thirteen national titles, we have taken another big step with this contract signing," Tamás Nádasi, President of the club, now called TUXERA-Aquaprofit NSK said. “So far, representatives from 20 countries and nations have visited our club, and although Finland has not been on the list, the entry of our eponymous sponsor company has now ticked the box, so to speak. The company's ties with Nagykanizsa are unquestionable as its founder is from the town, which is why we are delighted to have been able to strengthen our ties further through this contract,” he added.
