Magna Body & Chassis Ltd., the Hungarian subsidiary of Magna International Inc. — a leading global player in mobility technologies — officially launched production at its new, state-of-the-art facility in Vecsés on November 7, 2025. The plant will initially create 240 new jobs, later increasing that number to 300 and boost the local economic activity, according to the company's press release.
Magna International Inc. is a Canadian-headquartered company with a history spanning more than 65 years. Today, it stands among the world’s largest and most innovative automotive suppliers and mobility technology companies. The company, which has a startup-type organizational structure, employs 174,500 people worldwide with a presence in 30 countries, 351 manufacturing operations and 103 product development and distribution centres. In recent years, Magna has become an increasingly pivotal player in Hungary’s automotive industry.
The investment marks a milestone in Magna’s presence in Hungary, opening a new chapter in the company’s local operations and strengthening the international position of the Hungarian automotive industry.
The new plant represents the strategic expansion of Magna’s European manufacturing network, enhancing regional competitiveness while supporting the development of sustainable mobility solutions.
The body and chassis components produced at the facility will be supplied to major German car manufacturers, further strengthening Hungary’s position on the map of the European automotive industry.
