On October 30-31, the exhibition and fair site in Budapest, Hungexpo hosted the Shanghai Fair Trade Show, one of the world's largest exhibition series supported by the Chinese government.
According to a statement released, the event attracted thousands of visitors and featured some 130 Chinese high-tech companies from a wide range of sectors. Among others, Katalin Bihari, Deputy State Secretary for Foreign Economic Development at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, the CEO of HEPA, and Sun Jianping, President of the Shanghai Services Federation, gave presentations at the event.
The event was attended primarily by representatives of Hungarian companies, for whom this concentrated presence provided an excellent opportunity to establish direct contacts with Chinese manufacturers and service providers. Pre-arranged personal meetings also helped to facilitate more intensive contacts between representatives of Chinese and Hungarian companies, as it was stated by Mónika Szabó, managing director of Gold Communications Ltd., which supported the organization and communication of the event on the Hungarian side.
