AutoWallis' wholesale division has expanded with the addition of Xpeng vehicles, and the Chinese manufacturer also held its regional launch in Budapest, AutoWallis announced in a statement sent to MTI on Thursday.
Xpeng is launching its models simultaneously in three markets: Hungary, Croatia and Slovenia. AutoWallis and Salvador Caetano's joint venture will handle import duties in all three locations.
Founded in 2014, Xpeng's expansion into Europe is a significant milestone in the development of e-mobility, with three of its models available for purchase in Hungary from October, according to the press release.
XPENG is an artificial intelligence-driven mobility company engaged in the design, development, manufacture, and distribution of smart electric vehicles. Headquartered in Guangzhou, it has key offices in Beijing, Shanghai, Silicon Valley, and Amsterdam, among other locations. Its smart electric vehicles are primarily manufactured at its factories in Chaozhou and Guangzhou.
