The Corvinus University of Budapest and ExxonMobil (EM) Hungary Ltd. have signed a strategic agreement, the university told MTI on Thursday.
The main goal of the cooperation between the university and the Hungarian subsidiary of the energy company is to strengthen the relationship between education, research and the business sector in the interest of mutual development.
Thanks to the cooperation, EM Hungary will contribute to the practical orientation of education: its senior managers will regularly give professional lectures and seminars on their own company experiences and industry examples. From the spring semester onwards, students will also be able to participate in projects based on EM Hungary's operations.
Based on the cooperation, the company will also offer students internship opportunities with mentoring to apply what they have learned in a work environment, gain experience and develop their professional skills. EM Hungary is also a featured employer at the bi-annual Career Expo organised by Corvinus, they said.
Corvinus, in partnership with SEED Executive School, offers EM Hungary leadership training to share current business trends and fresh academic expertise, and its faculty and researchers can also speak at company events on topics that could impact the future of the company and its operations. Every six months, Corvinus provides EM Hungary with an academic forum to identify and address common thinking, market and industry needs, risks and challenges. In addition, the company participates in Corvinus' strategic partner community meetings for innovation and R&D collaborations and dialogues on the strategic directions of the university.
