Provident Pensioners' Academy Continues in Martfű

The fall series of two programs organized jointly by Provident Financial Ltd. and Semmelweis University continued in the town of Martfű in eastern Hungary. The aim of the series is to provide the older generation with useful knowledge in the areas of financial security and health preservation in a way that is easy to understand, using practical examples.

According to a press release issued by the financial services company, financial education is not only a social responsibility for Provident, but also a matter close to its heart. Older people often find themselves in a vulnerable position when they have to make complex financial decisions or encounter suspicious offers. The aim of the Pensioners' Academy is therefore to help them navigate these situations and provide them with knowledge that offers real protection in their everyday lives.

"Knowledge provides security – we see this time and time again at every stop. The Academy not only offers lectures, but also dialogue, where participants can ask questions, share their experiences, and work together to find solutions to the most common financial and health challenges," Júlia Németh, Provident's external communications expert emphasized.

On the first day of the event in Martfű, participants learned, among other things, how to recognize typical methods used by fraudsters, what simple steps they can take to make their everyday financial decisions safer, and how they can keep their budgets under control even as retirees.

Many also shared their own experiences of how they try to navigate the world of digital finance and misleading phone calls. The presentation offered practical advice on these everyday challenges and helped participants to manage their finances with greater confidence and awareness.

The second session will focus on health maintenance and proper exercise, as both financial and physical and mental security are necessary for a balanced life.

The Provident Retirement Academy will visit several towns in November to spread the message of financial awareness to as many elderly people as possible and help retirees not only feel secure, but also make everyday decisions with confidence.
