Grammy Award–winning American jazz-soul singer Gregory Porter will take the stage and get everyone dancing this August at the Paloznak Jazz Piknik at Lake Balaton, the organizers have announced.
Gregory Porter stormed the world with his unique sound, bringing contemporary jazz to the masses. He has received numerous accolades, including two Grammy Awards for Best Jazz Vocal Album. "If you feel like dancing, just press play on his legendary track Liquid Spirit, or enjoy the more emotional Hey Laura. And if you’re looking for goosebumps, his performance at the 2017 Polar Music Prize Ceremony is unforgettable — where he performed Probably Me in front of the song’s writer, Sting. The magic is guaranteed in Paloznak as well," the event's website says.
The New York Times writes about him: “Gregory Porter possesses most of the things we would expect from a male jazz singer, and maybe a few things we didn’t know we were expecting.”
As a global phenomenon, he can consistently sell out venues around the world, and as an experienced performer, Porter has performed in front of Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom on several occasions, singing Amazing Grace at the Royal Albert Hall.
