The Mastercard - Bank of the Year 2025 grand prize was awared to OTP Bank.
"For twenty years now, the Mastercard - Bank of the Year competition has been one of the most important professional events in the Hungarian banking sector, focusing on recognizing and celebrating the performance of banks. The number and diversity of this year's entries indicated that professional interest in the program remains strong. The solutions submitted clearly showed that banks are shaping their services with a long-term perspective, focusing on innovation. The jury's decisions this year once again reflected that the solutions that stand out are those that transform technological possibilities into tangible value that is easily understood by customers," according to Gergely Márkus, Country Manager for Mastercard Hungary and Slovenia.
The 2025 competition placed greater emphasis on areas where there has been significant progress in the sector: customer retention, artificial intelligence and merchant partnerships.
