The Budapest Stock Exchange's share index, the BUX, closed this week's trading at 116,510.12 points on Friday, up 600.54 points or 0.52%. The stock market turnover was HUF 10.8 billion, with leading shares performing mixed compared to the previous day's close.
András Takács, equity analyst at Equilor Investment Ltd., told MTI that trading on the BSE was positive despite low turnover. He added that Mol performed best among the leading shares, driven by news related to the acquisition of the Serbian oil company. He believed that OTP's 0.57% decline indicated profit-taking in bank stocks.
Among the leading shares, Mol rose by HUF 88, or 2.83%, to HUF 3,200, with a turnover of HUF 3.2 billion.
The price of OTP shares fell by HUF 210, or 0.57%, to HUF 36,590, with a turnover of HUF 5.3 billion.
Magyar Telekom's share price rose by HUF 22, or 1.2%, to HUF 1,862, with a turnover of HUF 516.8 million.
Richter's share price remained unchanged at HUF 10,280, with a turnover of HUF 948.6 million.
The BUMIX index of small and medium-sized shares closed at 10,299.14 points on Friday, up 133.79 points, or 1.32%, from Thursday's close.
